COURSE LEVELS:
These levels are intended as a general guide to help you choose a project that matches your current comfort level. Every lesson is taught step-by-step, and many students enjoy stretching themselves with a higher-level project. If a painting speaks to you, don't be afraid to give it a try!
LEVEL 1: Beginner-Friendly
Perfect for those who are either new / new-ish to acrylic painting, or are looking for a more relaxed project. These paintings feature simpler compositions, fewer moving parts, and the most straightforward painting process. You'll learn core techniques while building confidence with color mixing, brushwork, and layering.
LEVEL 2: Developing Skills
A great fit for painters who have completed some paintings and are ready for a bit more challenge. These projects often include more detailed sketches, additional layers, and increased attention to shapes, values, and details. Suitable for adventurous beginners as well as intermediate painters looking to strengthen their skills.
LEVEL 3: Advanced Challenge
These are the most complex projects in the collection, featuring intricate compositions, more sophisticated color mixing, and/or a greater number of painting layers. Success often depends on paying attention to the overall value structure of the painting while balancing details across the composition. Ideal for intermediate and experienced painters, though motivated beginners regularly complete these lessons successfully by working at their own pace!

The level grade reflects complexity of the painting, and not perceived talent of the artist. Every lesson is taught step-by-step, and you're welcome to choose a painting project that inspires you most!
